DETAILS: These stories show us the dangerous, self-damaging side of human nature. In addition, they often reveal the flaws in our institutions, which enable it to flourish, making the genre a useful vehicle for social commentary.
Breaking Bad is one recent Neo-Noir. Drive, Dirty Pretty Things, In Bruges and Memento are other examples.
This seminar unpacks the genre to find the ideas that make it tick, and shows how these can be applied to make great new stories.
With Euroscript Workshop Leader, Ian Long, you will watch entertaining and inspiring clips which illustrate each important element of the genre.
